the sea is noisy and wavy.
my boat bobs as i am splashed with
seaweed. the lofty lighthouse
illuminates the land that lies eastward.
rocky horizons stand mute as moored ships in midmorning. buoyancy belittles me and brooding
birds imitate my bewildered brain.
boycotting the brine, i briskly row home between belligerent waves.

pondering your verbose, prosaic diction,
crowds were deafened to all but you.
speaking spawned subjugation with your slyly devised
style; sluggishly composed retorts were nothing but pleasantries
to you. our wine was the envy of whales as they whisked about the white boat.

this is a sea of propensity.
determination drives the waves to deter the dream
from the wicked. nostalgia has climaxed
and the melancholic moan of the sea will not be ignored. incubated in delirium for days,
we drift in this jeering jar of juxtaposed joy and jolting gestation.
