Love Knows

Love knows no time, nor circumstance that quenches the heart's longing, or its yearning for things untasted, longed for, rain-drenched in tears, nor can love stop until the heart's beating stops, and even then, some consciousness of souls still lingers, heavenly, or lost, to grieve itself and comfort those who weep.  Love cannot stop itself from its own feat of reaching past the confines of time, of space, and reaching out to soothe the human race.  Love cannot stop this dream, nor does it turn, like seasons, away from all it thirsts.  Love does not melt away, like snow, nor does it lose its loftiness below.  Love, does not stop the throbbing of the soul to touch, to feel, to crave the things it lost when finally it left the flesh to crave something our mortal minds cannot fathom.  Love does not stop, when once, the mother's womb has shed us, like a shivering little deer.  Love does not stop, once we are grown, nor on our wedding night disappear.  Love does not stop reaching for the top, when lovers call them dearest, favorite, best.  Love does not stop claiming what is here, still wooing, still enticing to her breast.  Love does not stop loving, once the tiny dear falls, unlovely, to the wanton ways, but hates the sin, and hopes the sinner will, one day, turn from wickedness, and still the evil 'round them, turning all back to the Divine, away from the insane.  Love does not stop loving me, because Love is eternally the same.
