The Path Taken

Those blue, sparkling eyes, thick lashes, peering out at the world, lured me in, right away.
What is it like to look out from behind those lids?
Will life be as lonely, once I look into your world, thinking, feeling from your perspective, looking from your point of view?  How will my life change, once you're in it?  Will I ever be the same?
I see the look in your eye.  I hear your thoughts.
Desire, then, "Mine."
Some say we'll marry.  I only agreed to meet you,
but I'm open to suggestion.
Maybe they're right.
Perhaps a white picket fence with someone
with gleaming, vamp-like eyes
is not so impossible, after all.
