The Loving Presence

In-spite of opinion to the contrary
Implying your none existence
I am aware of your presence,
A presence which is the source
Of my own presence.

Where I sit you share my presence,
A presence aware of your presence,
An awareness as real as the sun
Presently permeating
Our sitting room window.

Yes, a contemplative experience
As true as each day and each night
Or the use of the pen which produces
The contents of ‘The Loving Presence’.
Which contemplates what I cherish-
A gift beyond description.

Yes, my Lord, I am aware of your
Presence as I am aware of the pen
Which I am now composing with:
