The Music Of Derry.

I once played the Uilleann Pipes along Derry’s Walls and in
Response I enjoyed the increasing calls of local seabirds;
The bodhran was also in action as well as the guitar which
Apparently was an invitation to draw persons from a bar.

The bar shall remain forever nameless but the craic of the
Boozers became a- one. For their lot included a few balladers
Who in- spite of some intoxication would have been a success
In ‘Ireland Has Got Talent’ for our City by the Foyle.

Oh, the event was an opening for many especially for those
Who sang and danced to the beauty of Celtic melody- the latter
Including various Irish ballads from across the centuries in
Both our native and our foreign imposed language…

Yes, a night to remember for all who participated and observed!
An event whose contents touched and drew the hearts of many
Of our citizens into a friendly union based upon the music of the
Gael which is a fruitful product arising from the soul of our nation.
