Inadequate

Do you ever feel inadequate? Like your in the ocean
In the middle of it
You can see other people swimming there, too
but they're having fun
And to them, you're another screaming voice, you're no one
They pretend not to hear, they pretend it's all right
They put on their masks while you struggle with yours, you fight
Everything goes under, it takes you down too
Beyond the deepest parts, the imposter you never knew
and they then see you sinking, down you go
They didnt hear you screaming, but now they know
They begin their compassion, it's all apart of the mask
No one is real anymore, see? its all an act.
Everyone is hiding behind their identities
We fear what we can become, we dont believe
Pain holds our inches of skin in it's sweaty fingers
we find solace in frowning behind a smiling face
We find hope behind love's 'undying grace'
We are here to die
We know not why
Everyone is fake
That's just today, tomorrow, thats just life.
