My Poem

The hare and turtle went for a race
Brought bodyguards just in case.
The cheering hoards were loud and shrill
Young and old were ready for a thrill.

3 seconds into the race
Their fears they began to face!
This is it where the chaff and grain
Are tested through fire-Oh the strain!

The Milky Way’s prestige was at stake
There was no time to take a break.
Their planets were counting on them
They had to win else the shame!

They started down the nebula through the lake
The race was long and tough with medals for the take.
The first time they raced hubris set in
And the steady turtle headed for a win.

The next race having learnt his lesson the Hare
Won with his might and speed and dare.
So, you see my friend life’s just a game
But the trouble is the leaders don’t feel the same.

This is my poem and my race
It is time for the game to get a new face.
Tell you what: here’s the deal
Harmony and peace are our new seal.

The tune is set, writ is my song
This new Order may it last long.
