A Company of Fiends

A Company O’ Fiends

Tae’ spy whit few hae’ spied
Suffice tae’ spin this tale
Wan white horse o’ hell, none much can tell
Oan wing an’ surly sail

Nocturnal sprite o’ apparel eiry
Fair’ gallops its stirrup an’ ne’er grows weary
Dreich dres’t djinn o’ cloth cloaked ghastly
Bright as yon sun tho’ steeped wi’ sin vastly

Tae’ spy whit few hae’ spied
Yet spared tae’ tell this tale
Wan mair black mare twa’ heevens above
Oan wing an’ surreal sail

Unbles’t curse frae nether hell
Testament tae’ aw’ wha oan’ earth dae’ dwell
Crew o’ fiends an’ devils twa’
Tae’ warn aw’ sinners tae’ come awa’

Wance mortal bodie wi’ spungious new
Desecat, damned, a beastly crew
Twa’ steeds wha’ span yon vault aboot
Tho’ ne’er well keep the devil ‘oot

The mortal thread aw’ knitted new
Wha’ swore an’ stole frae their ain’ sinew
An’ heence they take their astral place
Where Auld Nick fell frae glory grace

Tae’ leap this orb o’ step times three
Consume the timb’r o’ the tree
Ah’ tore yin’ doon’ in solemn light
An’ fled intae the howlin’ night

Daemon dark, yince bodie sloughed
Desecat, damned, a priestly shroud
An’ noo’ it takes appointed place
Where Auld Nick fell frae glory grace

Tae leap this orb o’ step times three
Consume the timb’r o’ the tree
Ah’ tore yin’ doon’ wi’ wast’d fright
An’ fled intae the howlin’ night

Daemons dank, yince bodies sloughed
Erlish, damned, a priestly crowd
An’ noo’ they take unholy place
Where Auld Nick fell frae glory grace
