I regret that words  fail
In my expression of love for you
And yet from the depths of my
Artistic soul I have ploughed
And harrowed poetic soil
Until sweat broke
Upon my brow
Forcing me
To lay aside
My pen
And try again
Some other time
To paint in words
My love for you
