If We Could See Through Each Other Eyes

If we could see through each other's eyes you'd be surprise by the many things you may see, things you could never imagine and things you thought could never be. See we judge each other everyday 24/7 constantly. Never a thought in our minds about why a person might be the way they are or the way they had been, just happy to say " I'm glad that's not me". If we could see through each other's eye you would probably see a young girl who's barely ten, being emotionally, physically and sexually abuse by a man; whose suppose to be a father figure in her life, tell her wrong from right, teach her to ride a bike but instead he just the man who crawls into her bed every night. Doing things that he shouldn't, telling her to do things her mother wouldn't, threaten to go tell her mom but he said that she couldn't; that he would kill her mother if she was to ever let this secret out so when she goes to school that's the only place for her to act out. Never doing her work and her grades continues to drop low, yelling at her teacher and throwing chairs everywhere saying how she wish she was never born and how she feels like no one cares; but to us she just looks like another problem child with no good home training and she just running wild, probably don't know who her father is and has a uncaring mother at home but if we don't ask, how would we ever know? If we could see through each other's eyes you'd probably see a young boy who watched his parents die right before his very eyes so now it's just he, himself and I. Neither sides of the family wants to take him home so now he's left to fend for himself in this cold world alone. Selling drugs so he can make enough money to get a room and eat and when he don't make enough he's forced to sleep on the streets. Dropped out of school at fifteen because he felt that it was a waste of time and that he needed to stay on the grind 24/7 in order to survive; but to us he just looks like another thug on the street, another scrub on the street, another criminal who needs to be locked up immediately, probably has about 5/6 kids he doesn't take care of or don't even know but if we don't ask how would we ever know? Everyday we judge each other on how we look, what we do and how we act. Saying to ourselves "man I'll never do that" but a few years later you may end up doing just that. If we could see through each other's eye just maybe, just maybe if this was true, if we could see through each other's eyes we would never again judge each other the way that we do.
