Friendship is a very rare and special gift we're given,
 True friends are hard to come by in this life we live in.
 Some people live their whole lives with many others around,
 But when it comes right to the end there's not one true friend to be found.
 Then one day you run into and meet somebody new,
 And just like that you hit it off and find a friend that's true.
 So to you my friend I'd like to say I am sincerely grateful,
 For the friendship I have gained since the day I met you,
 And to the Lord for it was he who had our paths to cross,
 I just want to say thank you.
