the love song

hush! don't cry and listen
can you hear it? ...no? ... then listen closely
now can you hear it?
yes that's it
the song
the song of love
i can hear it too
but i cannot seem to feel it within me
for my heart has left me shattered and pained
bleeding heavily for the love that i've lost
tears fill my eyes everytime i hear it
the love song
i can feel it
slowly trying to penetrate these safety walls that i've built
taunting me to pen my heart once more
to love again, to play again, to hurt for one last time
the song of love
can you see what it's trying to do?
it's trying to taint me with its permanent  scars
trying to mark me with its blissfull, bitter-sweet meories
the love song
make it stop! shut it up! make it less joyful
can't listen to it anymore
my ears gone deaf from lies i've heard
my heart has gone numb with the pain
the love song
just make it stop
make it stop
