Les Dindons

Maurice Rollinat 1846 (Châteauroux) – 1903 (Ivry-sur-Seine)

Ils vont la queue en éventail,
A la file, par les sentiers,
Glougloutinant des jours entiers :
Aux champs, c’est le menu bétail.

Doux pèlerins, sans attirail,
Et béats comme des rentiers,
Ils vont la queue en éventail,
A la file, par les sentiers.

Parfois pour caravansérail
Ils ont de grands jardins fruitiers,
Et là, prenant des airs altiers,
Sans redouter l’épouvantail,
Ils vont la queue en éventail.
