Les corbeaux volent en croassant
Tout autour du vieux donjon qui penche ;
Sur le chaume plat comme une planche
Ils se sont abattus plus de cent.

Un deuil inexprimable descend
Des arbres qui n’ont plus une branche.
Les corbeaux volent en croassant
Tout autour du vieux donjon qui penche.

Et tandis que j’erre en frémissant
Dans le brouillard où mon spleen s’épanche,
Tout noirs sur la neige toute blanche,
Avides de charogne et de sang,
Les corbeaux volent en croassant.
