La maladie est une femme
Invisible comme un remord
Qui flétrit, tout prêts pour la mort,
La bouche rose et l’œil de flamme.

Elle vous surprend dans sa trame
Et vous plante sa dent qui mord.
La maladie est une femme
Invisible comme un remord.

Qu’elle soit noble, étrange, infâme,
Avec elle on a toujours tort !
Elle vous vide, elle vous tord
La chair, l’esprit, le cœur et l’âme ;
La maladie est une femme.
