Melancólica y dulce cual la huella
que un sol poniente deja en el azul
cuando baña a lo lejos los espacios
con los últimos rayos de su luz
mientras tiende la noche por los cielos
de la penumbra el misterioso tul.
Süave como el canto que el poeta
en un suspiro involuntario da,
pura como las flores entreabiertas
de la selva en la agreste oscuridad
do detenido en las musgosas ramas
no filtra un rayo de la luz solar.
Mujer, toda mujer ardiente, casta
alumbrada con luz de lo ideal...
Radiante de virtud y de belleza
como mi alma la llegó a soñar,
¿en sus sueños de cándida ternura
así la encontrará?
