Sometimes Love Just Isn't Enough

Sometimes love isn't enough
Even though its smooth and tough
It can't mend every broken heart, or heal every single part.
 
We try to hold on tight,
But it's hard to keep the love alight,
It can't fix every single flaw,
Or change what's written in the law.

We try to make it work,
But sometimes we're left
With a smirk
Love can be sweet love can be rough
But sometimes love just isn't enough

We wish for a happy end
But it's not always what we intend
Love can bring joy, love can bring pain
And sometimes it's hard to sustain

We gave it our all and more
But life still shows us the door
So we move on and learn to
Grow and let love take it's rightful flow
