I Didn't Mean To Fall

I'm so in love with you,
you're the perfect man for me,
so I wrote you a poem,
for only your eyes to see!

I had planned a friendly meet up when you came into my life,
temporary friendship only for one night,

I ended up connecting with you so intensely         it was too hard to bare,
My heart gave in without hesitation since it felt so rare,

I fell madly in love because it felt so real,
my broken heart began to seal,

I tried to keep my emotions under control so that I wouldn't fall in love,
after only one night I couldn't get enough,

You stole my heart after the first kiss,
before I realized I was falling in,

I fell deep into your eyes and felt hypnotized by your soul,
your soft lips had my head spinning out of control,
when you held me for the first time I felt like I was home,

now…
I crave for your touch constantly and your lips to be on mine,
I'm addicted to you I want you I need you in my life,

No matter how hard it may get I will never
leave your side,
I will tackle every obstacle with dignity and pride,

I want our love to be known it will be hated, admired, and judged, but it will never break,
something they can never take,

I want to revolve around you,
you light up my galaxy like the stars do,

My emotions run wild like my heart does when your around,
real love is what I have found,

I've never felt a real connection before so I know this is where I belong,
everyone before you felt so wrong,

I'm with you for the ups, the downs, the good, the bad, and everything in between,
we will make it through everything as a team,

I want all of you, your heart, your smile, and your arms around mine,
when I'm with you it feels like we stop time,

I had no intentions on falling for you because our lives weren't even on track,
But I knew I had your back,

our love caught me off guard and I still fell anyway,
I truly hope you stay,

I hope our love is strong enough to heal our past pain,
We have nothing left to lose and everything to gain.

P.S.
Did Cupid hit us with arrows? I really can't tell,
It feels too perfect almost like a fairytale,

Is it fate or just a coincidence? we will never know,
when you lured me in with your amazing poetry and it made us close,

you have control over my heart now please don't define my love,
Since now you can hurt me worse than I could dream of,

You give me that love that I thought I could only see in my dreams,
a bond too perfect it seems,

I think my dream became reality though because it finally came true,
I found the other half of me and you found the other half of you!
