I'm sorry

Laying there still
Couldn't even feel
For I thought he wouldn't
but at the end I'm left wounded

For he never thought for a second
Of how badly it could've ended
For I could have confessed
But I felt too depressed

I stood at the stairs
watching his steps
For he walked with elegance
Forgetting I'm traumatized

Well that happens when you fail
To try to love yourself
I'm sorry to myself
For failing ourselves

About this poem

It's a poem dedicated to myself. In the poem I apologies to myself for not taking action on what happened to me and I also indicate on how much regret I have for not confessing the truth.
