Hen over dybe Vande
Du kom til Danmarks Strande,
Hvor Guld paa Marken groer;
Her Du i Bøgesalen
Tidt hørte Nattergalen
Og saae, ved Taget Svalen,
Symbol paa Troskab, boer.
Paa Svalens Ryg der sidder
Gud Amor, klædt som Ridder.
Forstaaer Du Fugleqvidder?
Jeg næstendeels det troer!
En Hilsen! Hvad? Og hvor?
