Du førte os til Byrons Guld,
Der kom en Glands fra Steenkuls-Øen,
Og af hvad selv din Sjæl er fuld,
Vi fik et Skjær i Øie-Søen,
Lad Hjertet være Skjaldens Fyr,
Flyv over hver en Sky og Skygge,
See Livet, som et Eventyr
Der kun opruller Lykke.
