Hey! Let's Pretend

Hey! let's pretend that you and I,
Are traveling throughout the heavenly skies,
Yes, hand in hand and by and by,
Our journey along Galaxy Way,
Is so exciting wouldn't you say!
So, let's wend along and on our way,
We'll share some colorful things!
Such the view of Saturn's Rings!
Oh! what a thrill it really brings!
To ride upon a shooting star!
Traveling on and on afar!
Gathering star dust from the Golden Star!
Just enough for you and I,
To sprinkle later in the sky,
To make believe again, is why,
Just You & I.

About this poem

I wrote this poem back in the 70's. I had written so many through the years that I also made future goals of one day having it and many other of my poems/rhymes illustrated as children's short story rhyme books. I already have 3 illustrated and listed live on amazon.com with hopes of having this one illustrated & published also in the near future. Thank you for everything you do in supporting us writer's! You are appreciated by many!
