Why Don't I Get Attracted Anymore?

I used to feel a flutter in my heart
At the sight of someone new
My mind would race, my pulse would start
As I wondered if they felt it too

But now it seems that spark has gone
And I'm content to be alone
No longer searching for that special one
I'm happy on my own

It's not that I don't see beauty around
Or that I don't feel the pull of charm
But something in me has settled down
And I no longer need that arm

Perhaps it's simply that I've grown
And I know what I really need
I've learned to value being alone
And from that, I'm now freed

So I'll continue on my journey
With my heart and mind at ease
Content to be single, without worry
And happy as I please.
