The Parent's Fault

When my children were young I would always hear, Your children are always so well behaved... You do your best it's clear. Single mother doing all I can, Raising my children without a man. I taught them to learn and have good manners, They were smart and beautiful, we worked our way through many daily planners. Ensuring they understood right from wrong, watching them grow like a great bush of flowers. Then one day they were all grown, The pride I felt was over flowing. I was blessed with two boys and two girls, they were basically my whole world.  Things went bad, and two were in trouble, I always fixed things on the double. But when laws are broken there's nothing a parent can do, but guide them and hope you are able to support them and get through.  You see... it's not always the "Parent's Fault" and it's hard to feel it's not. So love yourself... It's not your fault!

About this poem

I basically have lost my two grown sons to trouble... and I know... it's not my fault. Took me a while to figure that out
