I'm Fine

Words flying through my head, but all i hear is silence
Emotions running wild, like a lion trapped in a cage, yet i don't know how i feel
Maybe this is the end, maybe i don't know
Or maybe poetry can help, maybe it'll help me grow
Like a flower blooming in the spring, just waiting to burst
My feelings flow through a poem, at my best and my worst

Clawing at my heart, trying to unlock the feelings inside
But I'm afraid, what if I can't? What if I never do?
Poetry is everything that i love and fear
I write it to relieve myself, but then all i can hear
is the sound of my inner doubt shouting at its loudest, telling me to delete it, no one can see it
But I don't deserve doubt, I just want peace

Poetry means everything to me, and yet, I'm afraid
what if I realize something bad about myself, what if i'm not ok?
Poetry is everything I feel, it's everything i hold dear
But the happiness shown through my words just highlights my fear
It's fine
no really, it is
Fine

I'm like a lion, just trying to survive
Just trying to live
just trying to enjoy life
I can't lie, I won't lie
but really, its fine.

About this poem
