We'll Get There

6 Nautical miles away from the harbour
With no trace of the destination at sight
Not even a beacon of light from the horizon
All around was a dark silent night

Time after Time we toil on the boisterous sea,
With no single hope of tomorrow
The waves bellowing against the ship
And the sail tossing without a course

Many nights spent in the dreary cold
Shivered deep in our wearied bone
No suiting balm for the needed warmth
Left alone to the unimpeded storm

Standing firm and resolute
Nothing coming between
No matter the weather
We're destined to walk this path together

Relentlessly moving against the tides
With great optimism
Not to back off
The shore is but a moment
We'll surely get there.

About this poem

I penned this down while i was drowning in the ocean of despair and my sight was beclouded by perplexity. I needed to motivate the man in me never to back down because in no distant time I will attain my long drawn aims and aspiration.
