It's Time

We spoke on a whim and ended with a grin.
I can't remember when I thought I'd feel this
way again. The amount of respect you inflect,
one never would expect. Your brutally honest
and speak your mind, and now a days that's
hard to find. I feel comfortable when we
speak. Our conversations aren't for the weak.
They're always meaningful and true, and mold
how I choose to feel about you. Especially due
to, the fact that in the beginning I hadn't a
single clue. I can see a future so bright as if
one could be blinded by its light. Where two
people can unite and dreams can take flight.
I am drawn to you like you are me, so let's
manifest this into our reality. If this is really
something that can be built and with time
also grow, then let's take things slow and let
the feelings flow. All we have is time, so let's
combine, your ambitions with mine and see
what we find. I never thought I'd be able to
heal, after my ordeal. Nor find anything this
real. But here we are, as though we wished
upon a star. So, let's work as a team and try
and redeem, everything that can't be seen,
and all that lies in between! Let's feed off one
another's energy and I guarantee we could,
should and will be Happy!

About this poem

Time to let the past be the past and move on to the future, especially when everything seemed to coincide.
