Spring's Embrace

As I step outside,
a warm breeze lightly caresses my face
I hear the dawn chorus,
woodpeckers are drumming, birds are singing.
The future is bright,
leaves grow on what was a dark silhouette.
It’s a time of rebirth
blooms of golden daffodils peak above the melted snow.
Laughter and joy fill the air,
children are fresh as daisies running on a carpet of green
It’s a time of transformation,
as the satin winged butterfly flutters its wings.
The queen bee awakens
from a long rest to find a new nest.
Spring’s healing essence
brightens our hearts and shifts winter’s slumber.
