Love's Addiction

Nancy McDonald 1968 (Blytheville, Arkansas)

You walked into my life                                                   And you branded my heart                                             With a love so strong                                                    Right from the start                                                         You worked your magic                                                  With poise and grace                                                         As I took it all in                                                               Like a drink that was laced                                                 It made me crazy                                                             Like an addicts first try                                                       But this was no drug                                                       This was love's ultimate high                                         The years have passed by                                              And the potions still strong                                                 I know by your side is where I belong                                                        So come on baby                                                            This addiction is for two                                                  I'm already addicted                                                        Now it's up to you
