Lover of creative writing, poetry and words. I have years of journal upon journal of private thoughts, dreams, and long lost hopes tucked away in a box. I’d originally thought I’d publish those poems; maybe submit my own. It wasn’t until just recently my youngest son, now grown, allowed me peak into his own plethora of journals from years past. Love this poem. It speaks to the complexity of human nature and free will as the author attempts an apology to God for the choices made in life. The author points out we are made in the image of God, and as the poem progresses, choices made seem to come natural, and without much regret. Which begs the question:” what is good and evil”? And what is the TRUE nature of God?
Having written my own letters to God, I found this poem honest, thoughtful, and unique.
