Betrayal

This world is a betrayer!
I gave in to a hope I had never seen
I indeed anticipated the best of me
but it is never all heavenly.
seeing the false color fading out
endless promises falling apart;
cheaters running across,
betrayers roaming...

She looked pretty, she seemed expensive,
everyone clung to her
and I couldn't help but envy her
for her being the girl I can't be
but what I didn't notice is her story
something which only she knows.
Those scars concealed behind her flawless...
