The Indian Rail

The Indian Rail

The mesmerizing sound of the whistle of the Indian rail,

 Rushing forward on its trail.
The expanse of mud hills on either side of the steamy soldier with its unwavering and ardent gaze,

 Focused to reach its destination...

This poem is a recollection of powerful feelings of a child who is wonder struck at the sound and colour and speed of an engine rail and rushes to watch it pass by her childhood home .

This poem is a '' recollection of emotions recollected in tranquility" about he wondrous emotion of joy and excitement I had experienced as child watching the steam engine pass by across my home.On hearing the sound of the whistle and roar of the engine gurgling loud I used to run out to get a glimpse of the rushing train . This poem expresses the perception of a young child who experiences everything with wondrous eyes , the sound , the colour of usual things also becomes so special and novel in the eyes of a child .
