It Is Easy To Forget

From discrimination to jealousy
To the miracles and discoveries
It can be easy to forget our penalty
A drifting marble into a voided complexity

Seemingly endless star
Could not care less
About man’s somehow ephemeral war

First it’s one distraction, then comes the next.
Everything nowadays makes me feel perplexed.
What is the date?
Where am I from?
Sometimes I confuse this moment for one
That never existed.
I’m not consistent.
