A Chill From Within

there's a certain path I like to take
out of a forest by a tree
after the new fallen snow
exposed to the elements
alone drifting through the sullen thoughts
such a melancholy trip with my flask of sip

moving one step of the leaves taunt the mind
lipid thoughts of the day
further, seeing a wolf in disguise
eyes beady eyes with viscious hanging fangs that bite
I still continued to walk past the haunts on the path

fallen by a stream with water dripping along the corridor
a rock ledge where I lit a fire
the tormenting screams of wolves on the path
tried to relax with vomit in my teeth
saw a lake battered and cemented like glue in my fragile egg shelled mind
those sublime movements, gestures & variances
cordial appearance with a beard unshaven solemn tired motif

along this path I would fish
create time well spent in thought
rocks with creation of dull spears
falling emblems of swift security
the eyes would appear again
this time a friendly gentleman
took me by his hand
cried with words of faith
make no mistake the view was sirene
solemn thoughts of languished matter

falling, falling, falling & spinning
those cascading falls pierced my very soul
a chill from within
