Relax

Relax

I'm just the pieces of the man I used to be
torn between the lover and the one you left behind
behind closed doors we are willing to explore
I used to bring you sunshine but all I ever do is bring you down

too much love will kill you just as sure as none at all
bask in the vast expanse caught between space and time
a journey we must pursue amidst the reason why
help us to gather are senses while mending the fences

walk with me talk with me through meadows of green
learn from me hear from me as we eat our favorite ice cream
patience is a virtue therefore gain wisdom
with all thy getting gain understanding

colors of red filtering through the duration of my head
lavender base stained throughot my place
shallow pools keeping your cool obeying all of those rules
through pillars of stone we made our home alone

like a dog searching for its bone
through fetters of course dander we lie awake in our helpless state
some may agree its quite a timeless classic Peyton place
a nod of your head a face full of lead its the walking dead

Relax and feel the hand of a dear loved one striking your hand
to breath in the peaceful armony that gets under your skin
a new way to begin when your running your race
look ahead toward the day you will reach your finish line
