Jacob Charles Twiney
Jacob Charles Twiney, a carpenter by trade,
journeyed to Alaska to seek him a fair maid,
he met Twila Lindsey at Scotty's Cafe,
she was the waitress with flaming red hair,
who offered coffee and donuts with flair;
he needed furniture and asked her to explore,
all the stores in Anchorage and much more;
at Moby Dick's they were slow dancing,
which was just the beginning of their romancing.
By Christmas, they were in love and got engaged,
planning a June wedding to be staged
before 200 guests at the Sheraton banquet room,
but Jacob's life was detoured by an avalanche of doom,
crushing the house Jacob almost completed,
fighting for his life till he was depleted,
strong arms pulled him through the tunnel of death,
and saved his life by giving him more breath;
Jacob believes he was given a second chance
by his Guardian Angel who he saw in a fleeting glance.
