Out From The 'Norm'

If out from the 'norm'...
Appearing weird.
Unusual and different.
To refuse and accept.
It to reject as is to expect.
Yet stays that way to taunt and neglect.
Disrespected!

Isn't that what the past has been.
Before adapting to adopt to a future,
Leaving behind...
Something new to begin.
Without repeating the old.
Coming to an end.

And yet these days many are heard to say,
Wishing for a future that comes.
Different from the one.
That came not to appreciate,
Changes made to their lives.
To normalize,
The minds of those crazed.
Wishing to return to the days,
When few could not accept...
A future that would come to be done.
Without fighting everyone,
Over their appearance.

But today making to introduce,
Hatred, bigotry and division.
With a normalizing this to show,
Madness and craze.
Homemade.
As the only way to live most know,
From a distant past their ancestors had.
Before curiosity killed innocent cats.
Minding their own business.
To dislike the appearance,
Of them doing that in public.

As if they were proud to make,
A difference made to notice.

'I hate those cats!'

'Why?'

'Too many of them,
Have begun to appear...
Smarter than our domesticated,
And trained dogs.
When a stick or bone is thrown,
They know what to fetch.
And bring back.
Anticipating to be rewarded,
With a snack!'

'Why can't you accept,
Cats to be independent thinkers?'

'That's what I don't like about them!
