A Poet's True Voice

Poetry,
Like the waves of the ocean,
Like a mind caught up in commotion.

As diverse as the world,
The messages from a poet
Differ like day and night,
Ink and water.

A poet's words remain nonexistent,
Even existing as a simple thought,
Until pen is put to paper,
Making the words dance across the page,
And the darker the ink,
The more people will see.
