A Sinner's Prayer

A SINNER’S PRAYER
 
Forgive me Father
For I have sinned,
For I’ve ignored your laws
And let the tempter in,
Secure my soul,
O Lord, draw near,
Abide in perfect love
And cast out every fear
 
I hear the angels,
Rejoice in you,
I see a dove descend
And touch my heart anew,
I feel my lips
Your praise proclaim
I fall upon my knees
And bless your holy name!
 
Thank you, my Father
For loving me,
I walk among new friends
And Heaven’s company,
With tears of joy
I receive you sign,
And through this bread and this wine
I taste of love divine!
 
So undeserving
And unworthy I am,
Yet you’ve just washed my feet
And dried them with your hand,
My Lord, My God,
You have shown the way,
To be your faithful servant,
Help me every day!
