Pages of Us: Love's Eternal Manuscript

You asked if I could love your every page,
So tenderly I read them, thread by thread,
And gently sewed myself in through each stage,
United in the binding words we said.

I looked at you and knew that I would be
The spine that holds your chapters up with care,
A strength to let your words flow smooth and free,
A part of you as you're a part of me.

Our story now forever intertwined,
Within these covers we can fear no storm.
In opening your pages I hope to find
A sanctuary safe, our love kept warm.

For I have made your heart my permanent home,
Each page a window to your very soul.
In your embrace I'll never feel alone,
Together we can make each other whole.

I never dreamed your words could be so true,
That you would write my role into your tome.
To be the spine that keeps your love in view
Is the greatest honor I have ever known.

I'll help you stand tall through time's endless test,
Unbroken binding, stronger than the rest.
You give me purpose, let my life be blessed
By being part of your book, I’ll do my best.

Our pages now are one, our stories fused,
In opening you, I open my own heart.
This gift you've given, sacred and unused,
A chance to heal the hurt of being apart.

I'll face each trial with you at my side,
Turn every page with reverence and joy.
You've given me new strength I can't deny,
Shown me the wisdom I could not enjoy.

My own book was incomplete, some chapters torn,
The ending uncertain, filled with bitter pain.
But you have given me faith to carry on,
Shown me the beauty that loss can gain.

For now our spines stand side by side in place,
Supporting one another when we tire.
Together writing love on every page,
One book, one story, one heart, one desire.

I promise I will never let you fall,
Will hold you upright through the roughest weather.
We'll turn each page together, give our all,
Two covers closed, clinging tight together.

You are my scaffold, my resilient spine,
The steady presence I can lean into.
Your strength inspires me to hold the line,
Find my own courage to nurture you.

In opening you I learn to open me,
To give the gifts I thought locked deep inside.
You are my purpose now, help me to see
The light I can reflect when by your side.

I know the path is long we now embark,
But with you as my guide I do not dread
Each turn of page or twist that leaves its mark;
On this journey I know just where to tread.

For I can feel your heartbeat through each line
That pulses from your pages into mine.
We are in rhythm, souls that intertwine,
One book, one binding, your heart seals to mine.

About this poem

This beautiful poem eloquently captures the profound intertwining of two souls through love, likening the connection to a book—each page, line, and chapter a testament to their shared journey. It speaks of unity, support, and the deep commitment to being each other's unwavering strength in the face of life's trials.
