A woman's life

Brilea Pruett 2009 (Shelby)

In a world where strength and grace collide,
Resides a woman, a spirit untied.
But alas, society's lens turns unkind,
Reducing her essence, objectifying her mind.

Sexualization, a burden she bears,
Her worth measured by shallow stares.
Her body, a canvas for others' desire,
Yet her soul yearns for more, to reach higher.

Through the darkness, she finds her voice,
Unyielding, brave, a powerful choice.
For she knows her worth, her power within,
And refuses to let society's judgments win.

But still, she faces a battle unkind,
Sexual assault, a haunting behind.
Her strength tested, her spirit scarred,
Yet she rises, determined, unmarred.

Together, we stand, united and strong,
Against the injustice that lingers for long.
We strive for a world where respect is the norm,
Where women's voices rise, in harmony and form.

Let us break the chains of harassment's hold,
Empower each other, bold and bold.
For every woman, a story to tell,
Of resilience, courage, and breaking the spell.

No longer confined by society's mold,
She shines, unapologetic and bold.
Her worth defined by her dreams and her fight,
A woman, empowered, embracing her light.
