It's A Long Ride Back

It is a long ride back.
From being wrong to not admit it.
And told that to stubbornly stay,
Away from the right road to take.

It can be a long ride back.
By anyone.
Who chooses to ignore,
What someone else to them had said.
With a wanting to prove advice to them given,
Is neither appreciated.
Nor accepted to assume,
The advice giver is rumored to be a fool.

Unfortunately in these days and times we live,
Many who have obtained experience...
Are seldom the ones given respect to get it.
And considered, instead,
Crazy in the head.
Leaving advice to think twice about it given,
Left to leave as is.
Ignored.

Those who have had their mistakes to make,
Over and over again.
Are not too often the ones to recommend,
The right path to take to avoid mistakes.
But suggesting to listen,
Has more of a benefit than not.
And the doing of it,
May help one stop to think.
Done with a preventing,
Accusations to make and judgements to pass.

Afterall...
It is a long ride back.
From a wrong thing done.
And reluctant to admit,
The being told that.
By someone quick to have been called a fool!
Only to discover,
Who that fool really is!
