Lover's Reprise

As I stare out my window,
uncertain in my mind
to what fate may hold,
or what time will find.

I ask the right questions,
for the answer to unfold
at least I am sure I think,
or so I am told.

Yet still you are gone,
from this place here within
I know not your reason,
nor my nature or sin.

Show me my fortune,
that I might handle with ease
the pain of this loss,
and enter love's sweet reprise.
