Could've done Better

I tried to hold it all together
Made promises it’d last forever
Broken they are just like my mind
Could’ve done better, lord knows I tried
But I’m living this life of addiction
Stuck in a hole that’s caving in
Can’t get to the fresh air
Feels like I’m stuck here
Now I’ve let you all down, most of them I don’t care
I’m just their tool, someone to use
To do the dirty things they won’t do
Tomorrow they’ll have ten more like me. Tell them they’re great, be the new family
Only feel bad about a slim few
Feel bad about what I did to you
You put your trust in me
I let you down and your whole family
I know you’ll be ok you’ll move on you better win.
I hope one day we can still be friends. I hope you know I tried my best
But it wasn’t good enough it never is
Can’t make my friends and family
Ever happy I’m always letting them
Down and I can’t stop wondering
If they’d be better off without me
Better yet if they never knew me
All I know  anyways
I should’ve done better for all you guys
I can’t think straight since you know when
My stars don’t come out at night, they’ve been fading
They’re almost gone then they’ll just be me in the pitch dark.
I’m afraid of what will happen then. I’ll tell you all about it if I see you again.
Can’t think of any more feel like I’m babbling
You should hear how this sounds inside my head. I’m even getting tired of all this rhyming.
So I’ll let you go, have a good night
Oh and by the way
Maybe you can try again
To turn this into a song my friend
Have a line where you are singing
About some asshole who shot himself
In his head.
