A Rose's journey

A Rose's journey
It was once vividly red.
It was once blooming.
It was once alive.
Suddenly,
it was decapitated.
the redness paled
as if almost all life escaped it.
It feels rough and dry,
But it doesn't look dead
It looks ...exhausted
Worn off
That's when people ditch it
Bastards!
They sniff  life out of it.
Then ,leave it to the cruelty of wind , of feet
or of hungry creatures
Little did they know that despite its paleness,
it's still alive.
Although it's not as red as it used to be,
It's not coulerless.
Although it's not blooming within grains of soil ,
It can still bloom elsewhere.
Within the pages of a book or
Within the frame of a masterpiece .
